What are TL-Smoothers?
TL-Smoothers are add-on circuit modules designed to improve the performance of stepper motor drivers in 3D printers. They aim to:
- Reduce vibration and noise
- Provide smoother motor operation
- Improve print quality by eliminating "salmon skin" artifacts
TL-Smoothers work by cleaning up electrical signals sent to the stepper motors, compensating for less premium motor control circuits often found in budget 3D printers
- The TL-Smoother is an addon module for 3D printer stepper motor drivers
- Lower vibration lower noise smoother result
- The board provides flyback diodes (freewheeling diodes) for the motor outputs also protected against induction voltages in the unpowered state of the driver
